Xfinity hikes Netflix, Peacock, Apple TV StreamSaver bundle price

Xfinity hikes Netflix, Peacock, Apple TV StreamSaver bundle price

For the first time since launching last spring this streaming bundle will increase its price effectively immediately.

With a background in sports and entertainment reporting, he’s covered everything from Broadway to college football. He cut the cord in 2014 and has a sharp eye for streaming trends and a soft spot for Hallmark movies.

Streaming price increases come for everyone, including those whose name specifically states that it is designed to save streamers money. On Friday, Xfinity began informing customers that the monthly cost for their StreamSaver bundle that provides access to Peacock Premium, Netflix Standard with Ads, and Apple TV will increase by $3. Initially, Xfinity informed customers that the price increase would happen on Saturday, Nov. 22, but The Streamable has confirmed that the original message was sent in error, and that Xfinity will be sending a follow-up message on Friday to confirm the new date of Monday, Dec. 22.

Key Details:

  • Happy holidays: Less than a week before Thanksgiving, Xfinity informed StreamSaver customers that the bundle’s price would increase in December.
  • Three more dollars: The company will hike the price from $15 to $18 beginning Monday, Dec. 22.
  • You’ll still save: Xfinity noted in its letter to customers that the new price still saves them 40% over subscribing to each service individually.

Since its launch last year, the StreamSaver bundle has cost just $15, but starting essentially immediately, the price will go up to $18. Despite the price hike, Xfinity reminded customers that it still costs substantially less than it would to sign up for the services individually. The current prices for the three services would cost $31.97.

“We work to keep your costs low by absorbing rising programming fees when possible,” Xfinity’s letter to subscribers said. “StreamSaver still saves you over 40% compared to subscribing separately to Peacock Premium, Netflix Standard with Ads, and Apple TV+, making it a great value in streaming.”

Customers who use the service have the option of upgrading their Netflix subscription to the Standard ad-free plan by paying the difference in cost. That means to go from ad-supported to ad-free Netflix, they will have to pay $10 extra. Apple TV does not currently have an ad-supported subscription plan, but cord-cutters who prefer not to have any ads interrupt their programming don’t yet have that option via StreamSaver.

Xfinity has not made it possible to upgrade from the Premium to the Premium Plus plan. Premium Plus costs $6 more and comes without commercial interruptions, something that many streamers would likely be willing to pay for. While Xfinity has not made that option available, it has done so with other bundle subscriptions in the past.

For years, starting with Peacock’s launch, Xfinity cable and home internet subscribers received access to the streamer for free, and as the service evolved, customers who wanted to upgrade their gifted ad-supported plan could pay the difference to go ad-free. So, the capability for Peacock to make this happen for StreamSaver consumers is there, but it seems that Xfinity believes that it makes more money from ad sales from these users than it would from the additional subscription fees.

Nonetheless, beginning next month, all Xfinity StreamSaver customers, new and old, will have to pay $3 more every month to bundle the three streaming services together into a single, discounted monthly bill.

On August 28th, 2026, the price of Apple TV was increased from $12.99 per month to $14.99 per month, the second increase in as many years.

The service is available worldwide through the Apple TV app, which is built into Apple devices and supported on most smart TVs, streaming players like Roku and Fire TV, game consoles, and web browsers. Subscribers can watch on demand, download episodes and movies for offline viewing, and stream in 4K with Dolby Vision and Dolby Atmos, where available. Apple TV also offers family sharing, allowing up to six people to use one subscription at no extra cost.

With a competitive monthly price and bundles available through Apple One — which combines Apple TV with Apple Music, Apple Arcade, iCloud storage, and more — the service continues to grow as a key part of Apple’s ecosystem. Apple TV delivers one of the strongest collections of exclusive content in the streaming space for viewers seeking prestige originals, cinematic storytelling, and seamless access across devices.

Recently, Netflix has expanded beyond standard movies and TV titles with the addition of video podcasts, and is also exploring a digital store that would offer third-party streamers within the app.

Netflix offers three plans – stream on 2 devices in HD with the “Standard with Ads” ($8.99) plan, on 2 devices in HD with the “Standard” ($19.99) plan, and 4 devices in up to 4K on the “Premium” ($26.99) plan.
