Phone & Tablet Apps

AT&T WatchTV has apps for iPhone, iPad, as well as Android Phones and tablets.

The App is identical to the newly launched DIRECTV NOW app with three main tabs: Watch Now, My Library, and Discover.

  • The Watch Now tab includes feature shows and movies, as well as a live thumbnail for what you’re currently watching.

  • Unlike DIRECTV NOW, My Library only shows your bookmarked shows since AT&T WatchTV doesn’t include a DVR.

  • The Discover tab lets you quickly browse all on demand shows and movies.

  • The app also includes a standard grid guide, as well an easy way to search for shows.

It is most similar to Philo with entertainment channels from A&E Networks, AMC Networks, Discovery, Scripps Networks, Viacom — but also includes channels from Turner (TNT, TBS, CNN, & HLN).

The service includes top cable channels like A&E, AMC, BET, Comedy Central, CNN, Discovery, HGTV, Nickelodeon, TBS, and TNT.

It is most notably missing Bravo, Disney Channel, E!, Nickelodeon, MTV, USA Network, and major sports networks like ESPN, FS1, and NBCSN.
