Which major streamers are (and aren’t) available on Prime Video?
The Amazon platform added another major streaming partner this week, and at this rate there are just a few holdouts left.
The Prime Video Subscriptions digital store is building quite the formidable inventory. It offers a wide selection of major streaming services, and just added another big player in the industry on Thursday, when Peacock became available to sign up for through Prime Video.
But just how wide is the selection of new streaming services you can add to a Prime Video account? Are there still major holdouts that refuse to join the platform? We’ll run through all the top streamers you can watch on Prime Video, and which ones are still determined not to participate.
Which major streaming services can you add to Prime Video, and which can you not?
Which major streaming services can you add to Prime Video?
AMC+
AMC+ is the first major streaming service you can add to a Prime Video subscription, and you can pick either the ad-supported or ad-free plan. Going the ad-supported route will cost you just $7 per month for the entire AMC+ catalog, including titles from IFC Films Unlimited, Shudder, and Sundance Now. You can also upgrade to an ad-free service for $10 per month, and all plans come with a seven-day free trial as well.

Apple TV+
There’s just one plan of Apple TV+ available on Prime Video, but that’s because there’s only one plan of the streamer to begin with. Apple TV+’s ad-free streaming tier costs $10 per month, comes with a seven-day free trial, and includes access to prestige TV favorites like the new “Chief of War,” “Severance,” “The Studio,” and much more.
Apple TV

HBO Max
There are two plans of HBO Max to be found on Prime Video: the ad-supported plan for $10 per month, or the ad-free version for $17 per month. The ad plan comes with the full HBO Max catalog, including HBO originals, DC Studios titles, shows from Warner Bros. Discovery cable channels, and more. The ad-free plan includes all of this content as well, and also offers live sports from TNT, TBS, and truTV via the Bleacher Report Sports hub at no extra cost with a subscription.
HBO Max

There are hubs for content from TLC, HGTV, Food Network, Discovery, TCM, Cartoon Network, Travel Channel, ID, and more. Watch hit series like “The Last of Us,” “House of the Dragon,” “Succession,” “Curb Your Enthusiasm,” and more. Within HBO Max, B/R Sports allows users to watch live NBA, MLB, NHL, March Madness, and NASCAR events.
Paramount+
There’s a lot more to find on Paramount+ than you might expect at first glance. You can choose either plan of Paramount+ on Prime Video, opting for the ad-supported tier for $8 per month or the ad-free for $13. Either plan gets you all Paramount+ originals and next-day streams from CBS, but Paramount+ Premium also includes the SHOWTIME library, as well as a live stream of your local CBS station for more access to sports and news.
Paramount Plus
Paramount+ is a subscription video streaming service that includes on-demand access to 40,000+ TV show episodes from BET, CBS, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., and more. Get free access with a Walmart+ subscription.

The service also offers the option to watch your live CBS affiliate. The upgraded ad-free package includes premium movies and shows from Showtime.
Peacock
Peacock is the latest major streamer to arrive on Prime Video, and it’s offering just one plan at the moment: the ad-free Premium Plus plan for $17 per month. This plan includes NBC and Peacock originals, Universal movies, titles from Bravo, and the full lineup of sports on Peacock, including the NFL’s “Sunday Night Football,” and NBA games starting in October.

Premium Plus subscribers can stream their local NBC feed in all 210 markets.

Are you streaming “Outlander: Blood of My Blood” yet? The show is just the latest sensation from STARZ, which offers its single, ad-free plan on Prime Video for $11 per month. Viewers will get to stream the full “Outlander” series on STARZ as well, in addition to other favorites like the “Power” franchise and “BMF.”

Which major streaming services aren’t on Prime Video?
Disney streamers
To be sure, the streamers who do not participate in Prime Video’s digital subscription store yet are some of the heaviest hitters in the industry. We’ll start here with the Disney streamers; none of the participants in the Disney Bundle — Disney+, Hulu, or the new ESPN direct-to-consumer platform — are available to sign up for through Prime Video.
I’m skeptical they’ll ever join, as I think the number crunchers at Disney probably believe they’re doing well enough on their own without having to split any revenue from new sign-ups with Amazon. But it would offer one major convenience factor if ESPN specifically joined Prime Video, as all five national NFL packages (Amazon, CBS, ESPN, Fox, and NBC) would then be available to stream through the Prime Video platform.
Disney+
Disney+ is a video streaming service with over 13,000 series and films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel, Star Wars, National Geographic, The Muppets, and more. It is available in 61 countries and 21 languages. It is notable for its popular original series like “The Mandalorian,” “Ms. Marvel,” “Loki,” “Obi-Wan Kenobi,” and “Andor.”
Netflix
Netflix didn’t get to its place on the top of the streaming pile by relying on platforms like Prime Video to distribute its service for it. With over 300 million global subscribers — a number no other streamer can touch — Netflix is clearly doing just fine with the distribution methods it currently uses. I have no doubt that it will continue to keep itself off the Prime Video Subscriptions platform for the foreseeable future.
Netflix
Netflix is a leading subscription-based video streaming service that offers on-demand access to an extensive library of over 3,000 movies, 2,000+ TV shows, and a growing collection of acclaimed Netflix originals. Renowned for producing groundbreaking content, Netflix has become a cultural powerhouse with hit originals like “Stranger Things,” “Wednesday,” “Squid Game,” “The Crown,” “Tiger King,” “Bridgerton,” “The Witcher,” and “Black Mirror.”
