Netflix sued by Tyra Banks over documentary
Fans of “America's Next Top Model” flocked to Netflix in February for the juicy documentary “Reality Check: America's Next Top Model.” But “ANTM” host Tyra Banks was not a fan of the docu-series and has filed a defamation suit against Netflix as a result.
Banks alleges that footage of her was purposefully edited to create a “false narrative” around her. She claims that, although she was interviewed for more than three hours by Netflix, the interview was cut down to just 16 minutes of footage for the final documentary. Netflix’s selective editing led to “loss of future business opportunities, loss of business income, other compounding losses,” and “severe reputational harm.” Netflix has yet to respond to the suit with a statement.

Netflix begins streaming programming from TF1 in France

Programming from TF1 in France now streams on Netflix in that country. The distribution partnership includes live linear shows from TF1’s channels, as well as on-demand programming from those networks. It’s a huge moment for the streamer, and could indicate that live streaming channels will roll out on Netflix in other countries in the near future.
