The standalone streaming app from Bally Sports has had some issues lately. As we first broke the news on Monday, Bally Sports+ had crashed for several hours leaving thousands without a way to watch their in-market teams. And now, just days later, the app is down once again. Here’s all you need to know on Bally Sports+ and how you can stream in-market games without the app.

TL;DR:

• The sports streaming app is used by in-market fans of the NHL, NBA, and select MLB teams.
• Bally Sports + has had nationwide outages this week that lasted hours.
• Fans can get access to Bally Sports channels through free trials of live TV streaming platforms like DIRECTV STREAM.

Which games are affected by the Bally Sports+ Outage?

Since Bally Sports+ only streams in-market games that occur on Bally Sports Network channels, these are the teams that have seen an outage this week:

• Charlotte Hornets
• Dallas Mavericks
• Memphis Grizzlies
• Minnesota Timberwolves

How to stream Bally Sports Channels Without Bally Sports+

All US-based NBA, MLB, and NHL teams can be streamed locally on their regional sports network using a live TV streaming service. However, some of them are harder to get than others. If you don’t have Bally Sports+ or are currently affected by an outage, you will need a regional sports network (also known as an RSN) that carries your local Bally Sports network.

Of the six live TV streaming platforms, only two of them offer Bally Sports channels. Luckily, both of them offer a free trial so you can get the game in case there’s an outage tonight for your team.
