What are the streaming exclusive games in the 2025-26 NFL season?

This season there will be over 20 games that are only available via streaming, including the first YouTube-exclusive game.

With a background in sports and entertainment reporting, he’s covered everything from Broadway to college football. He cut the cord in 2014 and has a sharp eye for streaming trends and a soft spot for Hallmark movies.

For many football fans around the world, Wednesday was a national holiday as the NFL announced the schedule for the 2025-26 regular season. While there are still some game times and broadcast partners listed as “TBD,” you are now able to build the bulk of your fall calendar around your favorite team’s games.

However, if you are someone who still watches football exclusively via a cable, satellite, or live TV streaming subscription, there will be some games that you will not be able to see. As the NFL is becoming more and more comfortable with the idea of airing contests on streaming, we are seeing a slow but steady increase in the number of matchups moving to streaming exclusives. The majority of these games will be part of the “Thursday Night Football” package that airs weekly on Prime Video. Outside of those matchups, there are just a handful of games found only on subscription streamers.

The good news about all of these streaming games is that fans in the home markets of the teams playing will have alternate ways of watching via local broadcast channels, but of course, that doesn’t help fans of those teams in other parts of the country, or folks who simply want to consume as much football as possible. This season, there will be NFL streaming exclusives on Prime Video, ESPN+, Netflix, Peacock, and — for the first time — YouTube. The good thing about the Google-owned addition to this list is that the YouTube game will stream for free, while all of the others will require a subscription.

What else is unique about this NFL season’s streaming availability is that with the addition of the forthcoming Fox One platform and the standalone ESPN streamer, every game of the season will be available to watch via streaming without having to sign up for a live TV streamer. So, for the first time in history, it will be possible to stream every game regardless of channel, market, or teams involved.

We went through the NFL’s schedule and pulled together every regular season game that you will absolutely have to watch via streaming, so you can plan your viewing — and subscriptions — accordingly.
