The eyes of the college football world will be on Oxford, Mississippi on Saturday for a game that couldn’t have more drama if it were scripted by Hollywood screenwriters. The sport’s resident rabble-rouser Lane Kiffin will take his No. 7 LSU Tigers on the road to face the No. 8 Ole Miss Rebels, the team that he unceremoniously abandoned as they were preparing for a College Football Playoff run, in order to take the job in Baton Rouge. These two SEC rivals will headline the Week 3 college football schedule when they kick off at 7:30 p.m. ET on Saturday in a game being broadcast on ABC.

That game is one of three ranked-vs.-ranked matchups this weekend, as the major non-conference portion of the season winds down. If you are confused as to where you can watch all of the most interesting college football games this weekend, you aren’t alone. Thanks to the ongoing proliferation of college sports rights, there are dozens of channels and streamers that will carry college football this season, and it can be tough to keep up. So to make your weekend of gridiron viewing simple, we have pulled together all of the information you need to stream and channel surf as seamlessly as possible.

Everything you need to know about Week 3 of college football

What is the best streamer to watch college football?

In the expert opinion of the staff here at The Streamable, we think that the best option to stream college football in 2026 is DIRECTV. When it comes to offering the most channels in streaming, every live TV streaming service is chasing DIRECTV. To start, the streamer has the industry’s best guaranteed free trial. While others can roll out longer options depending on what time of year it is and what qualifications you meet as a customer, DIRECTV offers a five-day trial to all new users. So, if you want to give the platform a go before figuring out if you are ready to commit, you can watch the full weekend of action before paying a penny.

Of course, one of the things any fan needs to factor in when putting together streaming plans is what channels will be carrying their favorite team and conference’s games. Fortunately, the platform offers more of The Streamable’s top 35 cable channels than any other streamer, so if you are looking for a breadth of programming options, DIRECTV is a surefire hit.

What channels carry each conference’s games?

But what really makes DIRECTV stand out is its ability to offer a variety of compelling packages for football fans. DIRECTV offers a handful of skinny bundle Genre Packs that allow people to pick curated channel lineups around central themes and genres, and for sports fans, that means the MySports Pack.

The MySports plan runs $65 a month after the aforementioned five-day free trial, which gives you a way to check out everything that it has to offer before having to pay a penny. However, currently, you can also save an additional $15 off your first month, so you will only pay $50 for the first 30 days of the season.

Watch a full Week 3 preview

In addition to the aforementioned matchup between LSU and Ole Miss, there are a pair of other top-25 games this weekend. The first will take place on Friday night between the No. 22 Houston Cougars and the No. 13 Texas Tech Red Raiders. The in-state foes will face off on Fox at 8 p.m. ET on Friday. Then on Saturday afternoon, another Texas team, the No. 16 SMU Mustangs will visit the No. 23 Louisville Cardinals for an ACC battle on ESPN2 at 3:30 p.m. ET.

What is the ACC Week 3 schedule?

The ACC’s slate will get underway on Thursday night as the Syracuse Orange will head south to take on the Pittsburgh Panthers on ESPN at 7:30 p.m. ET. Another game worth keeping an eye on is the Florida State Seminoles heading to Tuscaloosa on Saturday for a battle with the SEC’s No. 10 Alabama Crimson Tide at 3:30 p.m. ET on ABC. If the Noles get blown out, it could be another tough blow to Mike Norvell’s chances of keeping his job long-term.

What is the Big 12 Week 3 schedule?

We’ve already discussed Houston vs. Texas Tech, but that’s not the only compelling Big 12 game of the weekend. The No. 17 Utah Utes will host in-state foe Utah State on Saturday at 3:30 p.m. ET on Fox. At the same time, the Cincinnati Bearcats will host the Miami (OH) RedHawks in the 129th and final scheduled Battle for the Victory Bell on ESPN+, while West Virginia Mountaineers will visit No. 25 [Virginia] that night at 7:30 p.m. ET on the ACC Network.

What is the Big Ten Week 3 schedule?

After their historic collapse in Austin last weekend, the now-No. 6 Ohio State Buckeyes will get their first Big Noon game of the year as they welcome in-state opponent Kent State at 12 noon on Saturday on Fox. Then in the primetime window, Pat Fitzgerald’s Michigan State Spartans will head to South Bend to take on Marcus Freeman’s No. 3 Notre Dame at 7:30 p.m. on NBC.

What is the SEC Week 3 schedule?

The No. 2 Georgia Bulldogs will open up their SEC schedule on the road in Fayetteville as they take on the Arkansas Razorbacks at 12 noon ET on ABC. The newly minted top-ranked Texas Longhorns will cap the conference’s schedule this weekend by hosting in-state foe the UTSA Roadrunners at 8 p.m. ET on Saturday on SEC Network+.

Other noteable Week 3 games

One thing that’s great about college football is that some of the most entertaining contests aren’t the ones featuring blue-blood programs. So, if you are looking to explore some non-Power 4 action this weekend — especially in the Saturday evening window — here are some interesting Group of 6 games.

What channels and streamers carry college football?

With each college conference divvying up their broadcast rights for the highest bidders, it can be incredibly convoluted to try and figure out what channels carry college football, and what streamers carry what channels. So, while our recommendation is to go with DIRECTV, when you are making your streaming selection, make sure that the platform you go with provides access to all of the channels you will need to catch the games you want to see.
