All the ways to stream the 2024-25 NBA Regular Season:
How To Watch The 2024-25 NBA Regular Season
Nationally broadcast NBA games for the 2024-2025 NBA season will appear on TNT, ESPN, ABC, and NBA TV while local NBA team games are picked up by regional sports networks (RSNs) that own the broadcast rights to a particular team.
The best choice for most basketball fans to watch their team’s games is DIRECTV STREAM, because it offers TNT, ESPN, ABC, and NBA TV, along with access to the most regional sports networks (RSNs) of any live TV streaming service in their Choice Plan starting at $115 per month.
When looking for a live TV streaming service, these are local, in-market channels you will want to look for, along with their subscription streaming alternative.
Choose $15 OFF each month for the first 2 months of Entertainment with Sports Pack or $20 OFF each month for the first 3 months of Choice or Ultimate.
Now, for out-of-market basketball fans who are looking to watch a team that is not in your local broadcast area, NBA League Pass is the subscription you need. Keep in mind that nationally televised games are still blacked out on the service, but when your team is not on a national broadcast, you can watch the out-of-market game with this service.
The NBA offers three plans: “Team Pass” at $14 per month provides great options if you only want to follow a single team. “League Pass” at $17 per month lets you see every game across the entire league. And the “League Pass Premium” plan for $25 per month gives you the option to watch on three devices without commercials. You can also save a little bit of money by subscribing for the full season.
Top Choice for Watching the 2024 NBA Season: DIRECTV STREAM
DIRECT STREAM is our favorite way to watch in-market games during the NBA regular season because of how many RSNs they offer in the “Choice Plan” for $115 per month. It carries all the channels you need to watch nationally broadcast NBA games, along with in-market RSN when you upgrade to the “Choice Plan” that also gets you NBA TV, MLB Network, and NFL Network. Plus, it comes with a great offer for new subscribers: $15 off per month for their first two months of service, and it also carries a five-day free trial. DIRECTV STREAM has all 35 of The Streamable’s top cable channels available, and it’s a supreme choice for watching NBA basketball all season long.
Choose $15 OFF each month for the first 2 months of Entertainment with Sports Pack or $20 OFF each month for the first 3 months of Choice or Ultimate.
Good Option For Sports Fans: Fubo
If DIRECTV STREAM isn’t right for you, it’s worth checking out Fubo. Fubo is great for sports fans who want to stream NBA games, along with MLB and NHL games because it offers ABC and ESPN for nationally broadcast games and carries regional sports networks (RSNs) for 98% of American viewers. Note that Fubo doesn’t carry local Phoenix Suns, Utah Jazz or Los Angeles Lakers games.
And it’s a little cheaper than the “Choice Plan” at DIRECTV STREAM, with Fubo plans starting at $95 per month, plus the RSN fee that most viewers will have to pay. However, the downside is that it doesn’t carry TNT, TBS or TruTV in any of its regions, which means you’d have to grab a subscription to Max with the Bleacher Report add-on to catch NBA games appearing on TNT. Fubo offers new customers a free trial, though the length of that trial depends on what time of month you sign up for the service.
Get Your First Month of Fubo for Only $74.99 (normally $95) after your Free Trial.
Other Options for Watching 2024-25 NBA Games
Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on Hulu + Live TV?
Yes, you can watch most of the nationally televised NBA games this season on Hulu + Live TV as it carries TNT, ESPN, and ABC, but does not carry NBA TV nor does it have a great offering of local RSNs. It carries RSNs from NBC Sports as well as Monumental Sports Network, but none of the Fox Sports or Bally Sports channels. So if you’re looking for a complete NBA viewing option, you’re better off checking out one of the other live TV streaming services.

Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on ESPN+?
No, ESPN+ is not a good option for watching NBA basketball as they don’t regularly broadcast games. While ESPN+ does occasionally stream sporting events happening on ESPN, NBA games are not one of them. ESPN+ does carry NBA G League games – the NBA’s official minor league – but it’s still not a good place to watch professional NBA basketball.
Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on Sling TV?
You can watch nationally broadcast NBA games with Sling TV on ABC (or on ESPN3 if you’re not a territory with ABC), ESPN, TNT, and NBA TV but the service does not carry any regional sports networks. That means if you live in your favorite NBA team’s local area, you’ll have to look elsewhere to catch their games.

Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on Peacock?
No, Peacock will not carry any 2024-25 NBA Regular Season games. However, that will likely change next season, when Peacock will begin offering NBC-owned RSNs in early 2025. That makes Peacock much more attractive for sports fans in Boston, Philadelphia, and California. Stay tuned for more updates on this.
Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on Max?
Yes, all the NBA Regular Season games that appear on TNT will also appear on Max with the Bleacher Report add-on. A subscription to Max starts at $10 per month, and includes the Bleacher Report add-on for now. Keep in mind that soon, Max will start charging for it.
Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on Prime Video?
No, you can’t watch 2024-25 NBA games on Prime Video. But all that changes next year, when Prime Video will carry a significant slate of regular season games, along with a sizable portion of postseason contests, which could include conference championship games.
Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on Hulu?
It’s possible some of the nationally broadcast NBA games on ESPN / ESPN2 or ABC will appear on Hulu. But if you’re looking for more comprehensive coverage of your team or the NBA season, you’re better off looking at other options.
Can You Watch NBA Regular Season Games on YouTube TV
YouTube TV doesn’t offer any of the Bally Sports RSNs, making it a poor choice for watching in-market NBA games for those markets. Plus, it doesn’t offer a standardized free trial for all new subscribers and it doesn’t include any free streaming services in its $73 monthly subscription price. For NBA fans, you’re better off looking elsewhere.
