What are the best services available to watch the Sports Equinox?
DIRECTV
You’ll need a mix of national and regional sports channels to watch a game from each league during the Sports Equinox. At minimum, you’ll need ABC or ESPN, Fox, FS1, and your area’s regional sports network to see an MLB, MLS, NBA, NFL, and NHL game on Monday.
DIRECTV carries all of these channels in various plans, and it’s our favorite choice to stream the Sports Equinox this year. You’ll need to sign up for a Signature plan — more specifically, the CHOICE package or above — to watch regional sports networks (RSNs) like FanDuel Sports Network channels, and thus guarantee your access to an NBA game on Monday. The CHOICE plan has ABC and ESPN, Fox, and FS1, plus access to ESPN Select so you can watch the Bruins vs. Senators game if you live outside the Boston area.
You can watch DIRECTV’s CHOICE plan starting at just $60 for your first month with a special introductory offer, and if you choose to stream it through your own smart TV or streaming device you get a five-day free trial with it. Once your first month ends, the CHOICE plan reverts to the standard price of $95 per month — not including RSN fees. Viewers can also choose the MySports Genre Pack for $70 per month, which comes with the same needed linear channels, ESPN Unlimited, and can be bundled with the MyHome Team add-on for RSN access for $90 per month total.
DIRECTV
DIRECTV is one of The Streamable’s top choices for the best live TV streaming service overall in 2026, especially for users who want the most channels or want to watch the most live sports. With an unbeatable lineup of local, news, sports, and entertainment channels, three main signature packages, an unlimited DVR, and 20 simultaneous streams at home, DIRECTV remains a premier choice for any cord-cutter.
Fubo
Fubo is the only streamer on this list other than DIRECTV to offer a large selection of RSNs. Its Pro plan starts at $85 per month before fees, and comes with a free trial of five days for the time being. This plan also comes with ABC, ESPN, Fox, and FS1, and includes access to the ESPN streaming service. This sports-focused live TV streamer is a decent alternative to DIRECTV for watching the Sports Equinox this year.
Fubo
Fubo is a live TV streaming service offering a robust lineup of approximately 150 premier channels, with plans starting at $63.99 per month. This entry-level package provides access to local broadcast affiliates 18 of the leading 35 cable channels channels, and valuable regional sports networks (RSNs).
Hulu + Live TV
Hulu + Live TV also carries the ESPN Select tier in its bundle, along with ad-supported Disney+ and Hulu for $90 per month. This streamer comes with a three-day free trial, and also incorporates ABC and ESPN, Fox, and FS1 — though it doesn’t carry a big selection of RSNs, so finding your local NBA team might be a tough ask with this service.
Hulu Live TV
Hulu Live TV is a live TV streaming service with more than 70 channels for $89.99 per month. Hulu + Live TV base plan includes local channels 32 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs). Subscribers get free access to Disney+ and ESPN Select at no extra charge.
Sling TV
Sling TV doesn’t offer any regional sports networks, nor does it come with ESPN Select access. You can watch ESPN and FS1 in the same package with Sling Orange and Blue for $61 per month, and you can get NHL Network in the Sports Extra add-on for $11 on top of that. You can watch NFL and MLS games with this package, and Monday’s World Series if you’re in one of the markets where Sling offers Fox, but otherwise you’ll be out of luck in the NBA and MLB department with this service.
Sling TV
Sling TV is The Streamable’s choice for cord-cutters on a budget. Sling is a live TV streaming service with multiple channel packages. The $45.99/month Sling Orange plan offers about 30 channels, including Disney Channel and ESPN. The $45.99/month Sling Blue plan offers about 40 channels, including ABC, Fox, and NBC in major markets.
You can combine Orange+Blue for a total of $60.99 / month. Sling also offers many channel add-on packages starting at $6/month.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV is the last service on the list that you can use to watch some of the Sports Equinox. ABC, ESPN, Fox, and FS1 are all included in its package, though there’s no ESPN Select or NHL Network access with this service, so you’ll miss the NHL part of the day’s events with this service. YouTube TV costs $83 per month, and comes with a free trial of between two and 21 days for new subscribers, depending on numerous factors.
YouTube TV
YouTube TV is a live TV streaming service with more than 60 channels for $82.99/month. This plan includes local channels 32 of the top 35 cable channels, and regional sports networks (RSNs) in select markets. The base plan includes more than 100 live channels, including major broadcast networks like ABC, CBS, FOX, and NBC, as well as popular cable channels such as ESPN, CNN, FX, USA Network, and TNT. Local channels are included in most markets, making YouTube TV a full replacement for traditional cable for many viewers.
