While the first week of the 2026-27 college football season certainly had its moments of excitement, things really get serious in Week 2. The schedule is highlighted by two SEC vs. Big Ten blue-blood matchups as well as one of the bitterest rivalries in all of college sports. The biggest game of the weekend will see the No. 1 Ohio State Buckeyes travel to Darrell K Royal Stadium in Austin to take on the No. 4 Texas Longhorns. Ohio State has beaten Texas in each of the last two seasons, but Arch Manning (yes of that Manning family) will look to end the streak at home on Saturday night.

The high-profile primetime affair will cap a full day of action, but thanks to the ongoing proliferation of college sports rights, there are dozens of channels and streamers that will carry college football this season, and it can be tough to keep up. So to make your first weekend of viewing simple, we have pulled together all of the information you need to stream and channel surf as seamlessly as possible.

Everything you need to know about Week 2 of college football

What is the best streamer to watch college football?

In the expert opinion of the staff here at The Streamable, we think that the best option to stream college football in 2026 is DIRECTV. When it comes to offering the most channels in streaming, every live TV streaming service is chasing DIRECTV. To start, the streamer has the industry’s best guaranteed free trial. While others can roll out longer options depending on what time of year it is and what qualifications you meet as a customer, DIRECTV offers a five-day trial to all new users. So, if you want to give the platform a go before figuring out if you are ready to commit, you can watch the full weekend of action before paying a penny.

Of course, one of the things any fan needs to factor in when putting together streaming plans is what channels will be carrying their favorite team and conference’s games. Fortunately, the platform offers more of The Streamable’s top 35 cable channels than any other streamer, so if you are looking for a breadth of programming options, DIRECTV is a surefire hit.

What channels carry each conference’s games?

But what really makes DIRECTV stand out is its ability to offer a variety of compelling packages for football fans. DIRECTV offers a handful of skinny bundle Genre Packs that allow people to pick curated channel lineups around central themes and genres, and for sports fans, that means the MySports Pack.

The MySports plan runs $65 a month after the aforementioned five-day free trial, which gives you a way to check out everything that it has to offer before having to pay a penny. However, currently, you can also save an additional $15 off your first month, so you will only pay $50 for the first 30 days of the season.

Watch a full Week 2 preview

Aside from the aforementioned matchup between the top-ranked Buckeyes and fourth-ranked Horns, the two teams’ rivals will also be facing off on Saturday. The No. 11 Oklahoma Sooners will head to the Big House to take on the technically 1-0 Michigan Wolverines, despite the fact that everyone not wearing Maize and Blue knows that UM actually lost to Western Michigan in Week 1.

What is the ACC Week 2 schedule?

Two of the top contenders for the ACC conference crown will get their Week 2 games out of the way before Saturday, as the No. 7 Miami Hurricanes will take on in-state foes, the Florida A&M Rattlers on Thursday night, and Lincoln Kienholz and the No. 24 Louisville Cardinals will host Villanova on Friday. Both of those games will be broadcast on the ACC Network.

What is the Big 12 Week 2 schedule?

The Week 2 Big 12 schedule will kick off with one of the Great Plains most bitter rivalries as No. 23 Missouri heads to Lawrence for the first time in 21 years as they take on the Kansas Jayhawks. The SEC and Big 12 squads will kick the weekend off onFox on Friday night, while the SEC’s Arkansas Razorbacks will visit the Big 12’s No. 20 Utah to wrap things up late on Saturday night on ESPN.

What is the Big Ten Week 2 schedule?

Aside from the afroementioned marquee matchups featuring Ohio State and Michigan, the Big Ten’s most compelling games of Week 2 will see the SEC’s Mississippi State Bulldogs head north to the Twin Cities to face the Minnesota Golden Gophers. The teams will face off on CBS at 3:30 p.m. ET, and then in the evening, the battle for the Cy–Hawk Trophy (also known as El Assico) will air on NBC as Iowa State visits No. 21 Iowa.

What is the SEC Week 2 schedule?

The SEC’s Saturday slate kicks off with a sneaky compelling game as the Big 12’s Arizona State Sun Devils head to College Station to face the No. 10 Texas A&M Aggies. But don’t overlook the afternoon window matchup as the No. 12 Alabama Crimson Tide head to Lexington to face the Kentucky Wildcats. Both the Aggies and Tide are obviously favored in these two games, but should absolutely be on upset watch against competent opponents.

Other noteable Week 2 games

Arguably the most interesting non-Power 4 game of the week will get the action started on Saturday at 12 noon ET, as new head coach Brian Hartline takes his South Florida Bulls to West Point to take on Army. The game will air on CBS Sports Network.

What channels and streamers carry college football?

With each college conference divvying up their broadcast rights for the highest bidders, it can be incredibly convoluted to try and figure out what channels carry college football, and what streamers carry what channels. So, while our recommendation is to go with DIRECTV, when you are making your streaming selection, make sure that the platform you go with provides access to all of the channels you will need to catch the games you want to see.
