Yankees announce 2026 Prime Video game schedule
Yankees announce 2026 Prime Video game schedule
The Pinstripes will present 21 games on Prime Video to customers in the team’s local TV footprint.
The New York Yankees have one of the most unique broadcasting frameworks in all of major league sports. The team plays the majority of its in-market games on the YES Network regional sports channel, but every season, it sends a package of around 20 of those games to Prime Video to stream in the New York area only. On Thursday, Prime Video revealed the schedule of its exclusive Yankees games for the 2026 season.
Key Details:
- Bombs away: The Yankees will play 21 games on Prime Video this season.
- YES and no: YES Network will help produce the games for Prime Video, but the linear channel will not broadcast any of them.
- Nothing extra: Yankees fans won’t need to buy an add-on to Prime Video to watch the games.
Prime Video will offer a total of 21 Yankees games to viewers in New York, Connecticut, north and central New Jersey, and northeast Pennsylvania. The games will stream exclusively on the platform, meaning they will not be shown concurrently on the YES Network linear channel.
YES is lending a big hand in bringing the games to life, however. Its broadcast team, including play-by-play broadcaster Michael Kay, will still work all Prime Video contests. All games will be preceded by a 30-minute pregame show, hosted by YES’ Bob Lorenz, with Justin Shackil filling in from time to time. Meredith Markovits will provide on-site reporting and insights.
There are several marquee matchups to tune in for on the schedule, including games against the Boston Red Sox, Detroit Tigers, Toronto Blue Jays, and other clubs that are either heated rivals of the Yankees or are expected to contend for a playoff spot in 2026.
