John Krasinski’s weekly YouTube show “Some Good News” took a nuptial term. “The Office” star surprised a Maryland couple and officiated at their virtual wedding on Zoom.
And he did it Scranton style, reports Variety.
The wedding of Pam and Jim on “The Office” was a high point in season six. Krasinski learned the couple, Susan and John, had emulated their on-screen proposal.
After the ceremony, Krasinski introduced Jenna Fischer, who played Pam on the show, as Susan’s maid of honor. Country singer Zac Brown performed a song for the couple.
For the couple — and “Office” fans — it kept getting better. The cast of the hit show suddenly popped up on their screen and, much like they did at the end of Jim and Pam’s Niagara Falls wedding, they danced to Chris Brown’s “Forever.”
The participating actors included Steve Carell, Rainn Wilson, Ed Helms, Mindy Kaling, B.J. Novak, Angela Kinsey, Brian Baumgartner, Phyllis Smith, Kate Flannery, Creed Bratton, Oscar Nunez and Ellie Kemper.
“Such Good News” began on March 29 to provide some relief from the pandemic.
“The Office” currently runs on Netflix through 2020. Starting in 2021, it will air on NBCU’s Peacock.
