Bally Sports Renews Deals with NBA, NHL Teams; Mavs and Pelicans Cut Loose

Don’t count Bally Sports out yet. The Diamond-owned regional sports networks have negotiated new deals with eight NHL teams and 13 NBA franchises. The Dallas Mavericks and New Orleans Pelicans won’t be moving forward with Bally.

Which Teams Are Continuing on Bally Sports?

The NHL teams sticking with Bally are the Carolina Hurricanes, Columbus Blue Jackets, Detroit Red Wings, Los Angeles Kings, Minnesota Wild, Nashville Predators, St. Louis Blues, and Tampa Bay Lightning.

Bally’s NBA teams will be the Atlanta Hawks, Charlotte Hornets, Cleveland Cavaliers, Detroit Pistons, Indiana Pacers, LA Clippers, Memphis Grizzlies, Miami Heat, Milwaukee Bucks, Minnesota Timberwolves, Oklahoma City Thunder, Orlando Magic, and San Antonio Spurs.

The Dallas Mavericks haven’t announced their plans, but the Dallas Stars recently launched their own streamer, Victory+. It’s possible the Mavs could join that service, start their own, or simply go over the air like the Utah Jazz and Phoenix Suns. The Pelicans already announced they’re choosing the over-the-air option.

The Anaheim Ducks are leaving Bally to join the Stars on Victory+.

Diamond also controls the broadcast rights to 12 MLB teams, but three of them are just on one-year deals they signed before the current season. This means the Texas Rangers, Cleveland Guardians, and Minnesota Twins can choose their own future in a matter of months.

Where Can You Stream Bally Sports Channels?
