Miss America 2020 returns to NBC for a two-hour live special Thursday, Dec. 19 from 8 to 10 p.m. ET from Mohegan Sun in Uncasville, Conn. At the end of the show, another formidable candidate will be selected as Miss America 2020 to continue the work of Miss America 2019 Nia Franklin.

Miss America 2020 judges include Kelly Rowland, Karamo and Lauren Ash. The competition features 51 candidates as they compete for life-changing scholarships to be used to continue their efforts toward community service and education.

As in previous years, the competition continues to highlight a diverse group of young students and professionals who are advancing the message of female strength, independence and empowerment through their efforts in the areas of scholarship, talent and social impact.
