Quibi has tapped model Tyler Cameron, the runner-up in “The Bachelorette” season 15, and interior designer Delia Kenza to host “Barkitecture.” The show targets dog-obsessed viewers who indulge their beloved canines with luxury items, such as a custom-built doghouse.
Kenza, who specializes in streamlined urban spaces, was one of 50 designers featured in the book “On Style: Inspiration and Advice from the New Generation of Interior Design.”
The mobile streamer is also gaining visibility at the Sundance Film Festival. Veena Sud (“The Killing,” “Seven Seconds”) and Kaitlin Olson (“It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia”), who have signed deals with Quibi, praised its generosity to creatives and singular storytelling.
Thanks to deep pockets, the Jeffrey Katzenberg-Meg Whitman headed Quibi has been on a recruiter roll. It has signed award-winner Laura Dern (“Marriage Story,” “Big Little Lies”) and Oscar-nominated screenwriter Nick Hornby (“Brooklyn”) for a new series titled “Just One Drink.” Plus, Andy Samberg will host “Dinky Foods.”
Quibi has also scored major filmmakers for upcoming projects, such as Sam Raimi (“Spider-Man”), Guillermo del Toro (“The Shape of Water”) and Steven Spielberg, who is writing a horror series.
Launching April 6, Quibi will rollout more than 175 new original shows and 8,500 quick bites of content.
