Netflix has given the family mystery “Locke & Key” a second season. The show is based on the hit comic-book series by Joe Hill and Gabriel Rodriguez.
The series focuses on the Locke family, which moves into their ancestral home after their father’s murder. The kids discover magic keys, which may be connected to their dad’s death. That quest also unleashes a demon desperate to get the keys back.
The show stars Darby Stanchfield, Connor Jessup, Emilia Jones, Jackson Robert Scott, Laysla De Oliveira, Aaron Ashmore, Petrice Jones and Griffin Gluck.
“In Season 2, as the stakes grow higher, the Locke siblings embrace their role as the new Keepers of the Key,” according to Netflix.
Brian Wright, vice president of original series at Netflix, added: “‘Locke & Key’ captivated audiences around the world at every twist and turn.”
Carlton Cuse (“Lost”) and Meredith Averill (“The Good Wife”) double as co-showrunners and executive producers.
The first season of kicked off February 7.
