PlayStation Vue is Offering a Free Preview of CuriosityStream Until August 28th
In addition to offering 45 new NBC locals today, PlayStation Vue announced that all Access, Core, Elite, & Ultra subscribers will have free access to CuriosityStream, the science and technology on-demand service, until August 28th. PlayStation Vue started offering the add-on as part of their Live TV Streaming Service for $2.99 a month in June.
CuriosityStream is a streaming service started by Discovery founder John Hendricks which includes 2,000 on demand science, technology and nature documentary and features. The content is similar to the type of shows you may find on Discovery, The History Channel, Animal Planet, and The Science Channel.
The streaming service includes both original and acquired content including those featuring Stephen Hawking, David Attenborough, Richard Dawkins, Peter Diamandis, and Richard Hammond. The company hopes to expand their library to 3,000 titles by the end of 2019 including exclusives in 4K.
