This morning Apple made major announcements at their Worldwide Developer’s Conference (WWDC) to Apple TV and tvOS — including a brand new update to Apple TV devices called tvOS 12.
Apple announced that Apple TV sales have grown 50% year-over-year. Cable providers across the world have started to use the device to replace the set-top box including Charter Spectrum (United States) and Canal Plus (France).
The most noticeable enhancement will be a feature called Zero Sign-On which will allow you to be automatically logged into TV Everywhere Apps if you are connected to your cable provider’s broadband.
This will first roll-out with Charter Spectrum later this year with others cable providers to follow.
