DISH TV to Include Netflix in Subscription Bundle, Which Plans Are Included and How to Upgrade
In the latest bundle between traditional TV and streaming, DISH TV is partnering with the world’s largest streamer.
The previous lines of demarcation between traditional TV and streaming are continuing to crumble. Not only have broadcast, cable, and satellite companies almost all launched their own streaming services, but they are also increasingly partnering with other streamers to incentivize customers to remain subscribed. One of the newest bundle deals comes from DISH TV and Netflix. The satellite company has announced that a subscription to its service now comes with Netflix for free.
Key Details:
- With every two-year commitment, DISH customers will get Netflix for free.
- DISH customers will get Netflix’s ad-supported plan for free.
- Subscribers can upgrade to an ad-free Netflix plan while still keeping the DISH discount.
DISH announced that every customer, new and existing, who signs up for a new two-year commitment will be eligible to receive a complimentary subscription to Netflix Standard with Ads. That plan normally costs $6.99 per month, meaning that the DISH bundle will save customers almost $84 annually. The perk will be included for all new customers automatically, and for a limited time, existing customers can sign a new 24-month contract to get Netflix’s ad-supported plan for free as well.
“Finding something new to love has never been easier,” DISH EVP Gary Schanman said. “We’re committed to enhancing our customers’ viewing experience by offering them the best content in the most convenient way possible. Our new DISH and Netflix bundle is a testament to that commitment.”
This bundle will “seamlessly integrate” Netflix into the DISH service, allowing viewers to move between the live TV offered by DISH and Netflix with ease. Now, instead of having to switch between different apps and remotes, all of the broadcast and cable content available through your satellite dish and all of the on-demand titles from the world’s largest streaming service are available in one place.

For consumers looking to take advantage of DISH’s partnership with Netflix, but are not interested in streaming “Bridgerton,” “Stranger Things,” and “Love Is Blind” with commercial interruptions, fortunately, there is a solution. While the deal between DISH and Netflix only covers the $6.99 per month Standard with Ads plan, if you want to upgrade to either Netflix’s Standard or Premium plans, you will still get credit for the ad-supported plan.
DISH gives customers the opportunity to stream Netflix Standard with Ads for free, or to watch via Standard for $8.50 per month or Premium for $16 monthly; normally, those plans cost $15.49 and $22.99 per month respectively. That means that DISH subscribers will still get the $6.99 off, regardless of what Netflix plan they choose.
This is the same setup that Netflix is offering to Comcast customers via the new StreamSaver bundle. That package is available to Xfinity TV and internet customers and includes Netflix, Peacock, and Apple TV+ for as little as $15 per month.
Customers must have eligible equipment in order to qualify for the DISH-Netflix bundle. DISH subscribers will need to have either the Hopper with Sling device, the Hopper 3, the Hopper Duo, or the Wally receiver.
