‘Alien: Earth’

The dreaded xenomorphs of the “Alien” cinematic universe come to Earth in this TV series, which comes to Hulu and Disney+ on an as-yet unannounced date in 2025. The film is set three decades before the 1979 film that started it all and features a group of soldiers trying to end the alien threat before it can snuff out all life on the planet.

Andor’ Season 2

“Andor” is the continuing story of Cassian Andor, once just another of the millions of citizens in the galaxy trying to make a living for himself under the rule of the sinister Galactic Empire. But in Season 1, Andor is exposed to the rebellion against the Empire, and after a stay in an Imperial prison decides to join the fight to restore the Republic and bring peace back to the galaxy. “Andor” Season 2 debuts on April 22.

The Bear’ Season 4

Hulu knows it’s got a runaway hit in “The Bear,” and it’s capitalizing by turning around another season of the show as quickly as possible. Season 4 wasn’t given a release date, but it will be back in 2025, and for fans of the show it’s just in time. Viewers like myself have plenty of questions; will Sidney stay with The Bear as it tries to establish itself as one of Chicago’s best restaurants? Will Carmy break under the pressure? Did the Chicago Tribune’s review of the eatery take it to new heights? No specific release date was given, but “The Bear” Season 4 is coming back to answer these questions in 2025.

‘Chad Powers’

This Hulu series will also be available on Disney+ to subscribers of both services, and it too doesn’t have a specific 2025 release date yet. The show will feature Glen Powell as Russ Holliday, an ace quarterback whose bad behavior derails his career. Desperate to revitalize that career, Holliday disguises himself as Chad Powers, a loveable goofball to try out for a new football team.

Daredevil: Born Again

Charlie Cox returns to the Daredevil persona in this series, which will serve as a continuation of “Daredevil” from Netflix. Vincent D’Onofrio is also back as Wilson Fisk/Kingpin, marking his first return to the character since “Echo” in early 2024. “Daredevil: Born Again” will revive the darker interpretation of these two characters first seen on the Netflix show, and will debut on March 4.

Goosebumps: The Vanishing

“Goosebumps: The Vanishing” begins with fraternal twins Devin and Cece adjusting to life with their recently divorced dad, Anthony. When the duo discovers a threat stirring, they quickly realize that dark secrets are among them, triggering a chain of events that unravel a profound mystery. As they delve into the unknown, Devin, Cece, and their friends — Alex, CJ, and Frankie — find themselves entangled in the chilling tale of four teenagers who mysteriously vanished in 1994. “Goosebumps: The Vanishing” debuts on Disney+ on Jan. 10.

The Handmaid's Tale’ Final Season

Season 5 of “The Handmaid’s Tale” found Elisabeth Moss’s June Osborne leading fellow escapees of the terrifying, dystopian Gilead to a new future. The group is headed for Hawaii, but will they ever get there? If they arrive, will it be the place of peace and freedom they believe it will? The new season doesn’t have a precise release date yet, but it will be released sometime in 2025. Viewers with both Disney+ and Hulu will be able to watch it directly from the Disney+ app.

Ironheart

After her Marvel introduction in “Black Panther: Wakanda Forever,” Riri Williams is getting a show of her own. The genius MIT student has crafted a suit of armor that rivals the designs of Tony Stark himself, and now viewers will get a chance to learn her origins and the motivations behind her desire to be a hero. “Ironheart” will be released on June 24.

‘Paradise’

A new series from Hulu that will air on Disney+ for subscribers of both services, “Paradise” follows a security team who has been tasked with the protection of a former president. There aren’t many details about this series available yet, but it will be available to stream in 2025.

Percy Jackson & the Olympians’ Season 2

This adaptation of the popular children’s novel series drew much acclaim for its first season. It follows a young man named Percy, who hangs out with friends and leads a more or less normal life until he makes a shocking discovery: he’s part Greek god. Season 2 of the show will adapt the second book in the series “The Sea of Monsters,” and will be released on a TBD date in 2025.
