Best Westerns Ever has a bunch of classic Western movies and TV shows. One of them is “The Phantom Empire” - a unique 1935 serial that combines Western adventure with elements of science fiction. The story kicks off with Gene Autry running a ranch known as Radio Ranch, which also serves as a live radio broadcast station. Beneath the ranch lies the secret world of Murania, a futuristic underground city complete with robots and ray guns. As Gene stumbles on this hidden civilization, he finds himself caught between Murania’s powerful Queen Tika and a group of surface criminals plotting to exploit the underground city’s resources. The mix of musical numbers, sci-fi gadgets, and classic Western action made this series groundbreaking for its time and marked Gene Autry’s debut as a leading star.

Raised by Endicott after a falling out with his father, Idaho finds himself caught between two powerful men. As he tries to keep his identity under wraps, Idaho attempts to mediate the long-standing rivalry and bring peace to his divided hometown.
