Hulu users have an array of content choices, and coronavirus has created heightened interest in streaming services.
One specific show — “Little Fires Everywhere” — starring Reese Witherspoon and Kerry Washington has lit up ratings since its March 18 debut, Deadline reports.
According to Hulu, four episodes of the fiery show, which pits a wealthy woman against a mysterious artist, have aired. In the past two weeks, “Little Fires” has recorded more viewing hours any other Hulu drama. Demand has been greater for this show than any other the streamer carries.
Interest has risen weekly, with more viewers in the fourth episode than the premiere.
Another plus for Hulu is its alliance with ABC News Live. Subscribers to both Hulu tiers (ad-supported and ad-free) can now watch the ABC News Live stream at the “Hulu Picks” collection. The deal also includes users that subscribe to a bundled Disney+/Hulu/ESPN+.
Since March 9, live news viewing on Hulu has gone up 40 percent versus the prior two weeks, the trade magazine reports.
Other Hulu shows that have scored well are comedies such as “Bob’s Burgers” and “Brooklyn Nine-Nine.”
