Peacock First Reactions: Here’s What Users Are Saying About the Streaming Service

Peacock is officially available nationwide. The NBCUniversal-owned streamer was first released exclusively to Comcast’s Xfinity X1 and Flex customers in April, but as of today, the service is available across most devices. As the last major service to be launched over the last eight months, Peacock has had cord-cutters buzzing.

The service launched with three tiers — a free tier featuring more than 13,000 hours of movies and shows. The service also offers Peacock Premium, which includes 20,000 hours of movies and shows, for $4.99 per month, as well as an ad-free tier for $9.99.

With nine originals on deck as well as library content, including classics such as “King of Queens,” “Everybody Loves Raymond,” “Two and a Half Men,” and films such as “E.T.,” “Schindler’s List,” “Reservoir Dogs” and “Children of Men,” Peacock fits right in with competitors Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hulu, HBO Max and Disney+. They will however, differentiate themselves with their live event offerings, streaming 175 exclusive Premier League matches in the 2020-21 season on Peacock Premium.
