Hallmark+ Launches Next Month With Lacey Chabert, Family Drama, and Cozy Vibes

The new streaming service will replace Hallmark Movies Now, and benefits include free greeting cards and more.

Celebrations with Lacey Chabert is just one of several new titles debuting on Hallmark+ when the new service launches.

There’s a new Hallmark streaming service coming to town! Hallmark Movies Now is morphing into Hallmark+ this fall, and on Wednesday, the company announced new details about the forthcoming rebranded service. Hallmark+ now has a launch date and a new lineup of original titles for fans to get excited about, and its parent company also revealed more about what types of rewards will be available to subscribers when they sign up.

Key Details:

  • Hallmark+ will debut Sept. 10 with new series “The Chicken Sisters,” “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert,” and more.
  • Subscribers will get free greeting cards from Hallmark, rewards points, annual gifts and more.
  • Hallmark+ will cost $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year.

The transformation of Hallmark Movies Now into Hallmark+ was first announced in July, but the exact launch date of the service was not revealed at the time. Now, we officially know that the streamer will roll out to customers on Tuesday, Sept. 10.

While the reimagined service will still serve as a library of Hallmark shows and movies, the launch of Hallmark+ will also feature the premieres of a handful of streaming-exclusive original series, starting with the unscripted “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert” and the family-drama series “The Chicken Sisters.”

Members will also get additional benefits when they sign up for Hallmark+, including one free greeting card every month, unlimited eCards, annual membership gifts, surprise bonuses, and a free rewards program. The service will cost $7.99 per month or $79.99 per year, representing a $2 monthly increase over Hallmark Movies Now current price.

What New Series Are Coming to Hallmark+?

Lacey Chabert is the unofficial queen of Hallmark, and continues her reign on Hallmark+.

Let’s start with the unscripted series “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert,” which is hosted by one of Hallmark Channel’s most recognizable stars. Chabert will seek out individuals who are making a positive difference in their communities, but whose roles largely go unrecognized.

It’s Chabert’s job to recognize them, and she does this with a huge party planned by professionals and celebrity friends. Over the span of three days, Chabert will create the surprise party of a lifetime for these deserving heroes in a show that’s guaranteed to warm hearts and show off some truly epic celebrations.

The Chicken Sisters features an all-star cast and a sizzling plot that's guaranteed to be full of flavor!

Next up is the series premiere of “The Chicken Sisters,” which stars Schuyler Fisk, Lea Thompson, Wendie Malick, and a large ensemble cast, not to mention narration by Margo Martindale. The show is focused on a pair of dueling fried chicken restaurants, which threaten to split the loyalties of the quiet little town they call home. A big-name cooking show wants to come and do an episode on these two joints, but that only causes the feud to heat up further!

Both series will debut their first episode on Tuesday, Sept. 10, with new episodes premiering every Thursday starting Sept. 12. The launch of Hallmark+ will also see the premiere of the “Love on the Danube” trilogy and three new installments of “The Jane Mysteries” featuring Jodie Sweetin. No fan of Hallmark’s beloved, heartwarming titles will want to miss the rollout of Hallmark+, especially with so much new content available on the streamer!

Hallmark Movies Now

Hallmark Movies Now was a cable-free subscription service that offers thousands of hours of Hallmark’s signature feel-good programming in the form of movies and ongoing series. The service became Hallmark+ in September of 2024.

Nearly all media found on the service was exclusive to the Hallmark brand, created either specifically for Hallmark Movies Now, or pulled from another source of Hallmark such as Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Movies and & Mysteries, or Hallmark Drama. The service is straightforward, offering complete ad-free access to all content with the choice of either a monthly or a yearly subscription.

The Monthly Plan for Hallmark Movies Now runs $5.99 / month, or you can save money with the Annual Plan: $59.99 / year. As Hallmark’s content is almost entirely family-friendly, there is only one profile per account, and there is no section made for kids, nor are there any parental controls. The service allows for limited international viewing, and is compatible with most media devices.

If your library offers the Hoopla streaming service, you can stream Hallmark Movies for free using the BingePass feature.
