Hallmark+ Launches Today! Everything You Need to Know About Hallmark’s Refreshed Streamer

Hallmark Movies Now has officially rebranded, and we’ll tell you everything you need to know about the new service here.

The day Hallmark Channel fans have been waiting for has finally arrived! As first announced in July, the beloved cable TV brand’s original streaming Hallmark Movies Now has officially rebranded as Hallmark+. The service serves as a refreshed new way for fans to enjoy the same heartwarming, cozy, and comforting movies and series they’ve come to expect from Hallmark, with some exciting new twists and titles thrown in. Viewers likely have a lot of questions about the new streamer, and we’ll break down all the information we’ve got on the service so far here.

What You Need to Know About Hallmark+:

What is Hallmark+?

Hallmark+ is the new subscription streaming service from Hallmark, replacing Hallmark Movies Now.

Hallmark+ is an on-demand streaming service that allows viewers to watch their favorite movies and shows from Hallmark Channel. The service has a huge library of many of the linear channels’ most popular titles, as well as original series and films that viewers won’t find anywhere else.

How Much is a Hallmark+ Subscription?

Hallmark+ has two subscription tiers, starting with its monthly plan for $7.99. Viewers can also opt for the annual plan for $79.99, which essentially means you’ll only have to pay for 10 months of service instead of 12. Both Hallmark+ plans also come with a seven-day free trial, so you’ll know beyond a shadow of a doubt if the service is right for you before you have to commit your cash to a subscription.

What Are the Benefits of a Hallmark+ Membership?

In addition to unlimited, ad-free streaming of Hallmark content on up to two screens simultaneously, Hallmark+ comes with a wealth of features for subscribers.

Customers of the streamer who sign up for the monthly plan get the following benefits:

  • A $5 Gold Crown coupon every month
  • The ability to earn up to 50% more Crown Rewards points
  • A free customized greeting card each month
  • 30% off custom invitations, announcements, and holiday photo cards
  • Unlimited eCards

Annual subscribers to Hallmark+ get even more extras with their membership, including:

  • A birthday gift
  • An exclusive free Keepsake Ornament
  • A new member welcome gift

What New Series Are Coming to Hallmark+?

Hallmark+ is launching with a couple of fantastic new series, starting with “Celebrations with Lacey Chabert.” One of Hallmark’s most beloved stars, Chabert will seek out individuals who are making a positive difference in their communities, but whose roles largely go unrecognized.

It’s Chabert’s job to recognize them, and she does this with a huge party planned by professionals and celebrity friends. Over the span of three days, Chabert will create the surprise party of a lifetime for these deserving heroes in a show that’s guaranteed to warm hearts and show off some truly epic celebrations.

Next up is the series premiere of “The Chicken Sisters,” which stars Schuyler Fisk, Lea Thompson, Wendie Malick, and a large ensemble cast, not to mention narration by Margo Martindale. The show is focused on a pair of dueling fried chicken restaurants, which threaten to split the loyalties of the quiet little town they call home. A big-name cooking show wants to come and do an episode on these two joints, but that only causes the feud to heat up further!

Other new titles coming to Hallmark+ in the near future include “The Groomsmen,” Hallmark’s first movie trilogy told from the groom’s perspective; “Holidazed,” which follows six families from different backgrounds as they overlap throughout the holiday season; an unscripted series dubbed “Finding Mr. Christmas” which will search for Hallmark’s next leading man, and more.

Another aspect of Hallmark+ that is likely to appeal to the brand’s most devoted fans is the Hallmark Movie VIP Pass. In this behind-the-scenes talk show-type series, Hallmark star Tamara Mowrey-Housley sits down and watches some of Hallmark’s most popular films with the stars themselves. Then, during what would be the commercial breaks on Hallmark Channel, the stars share behind-the-scenes stories from filming, participate in fun activities, play games and trivia, and more.

What Does the Hallmark+ User Interface Look Like?

The Hallmark+ user interface is fairly similar to that of Hallmark Movies Now. It is far less cluttered than many other on-demand streamers. The menus are very intuitive, putting the content that viewers want to see the most upfront and making it very easy to find. As the photo above shows, viewers can browse by genres like dramas, mysteries, rom-coms, or even Christmas-themed titles, so you can make it the holiday season in your house no matter what time of year it really is.

One aspect that will likely be especially popular for Hallmark fans is that they can also browse collections of titles featuring their favorite stars; so if you want to binge all of Lacey Chabert or Tyler Hynes’ films, Hallmark+ makes it a snap. Even customers who get confused by the sprawling layouts and hidden pop-up menus that many on-demand streaming services offer won’t have a problem navigating the Hallmark+ interface.

Hallmark+

Hallmark+ is a cable-free subscription service that offers thousands of hours of Hallmark’s signature feel-good programming in the form of movies and ongoing series. Nearly all media found on the service is exclusive to the Hallmark brand, created either specifically for Hallmark+, or pulled from another source such as Hallmark Channel, Hallmark Mystery, or Hallmark Family. The service can be added as a channel to Prime Video.

If your library partners with Hoopla, you can watch Hallmark+ free for 7 days at a time with a BingePass.
