We love Apple TV for its user-friendly interface. Thankfully, that means everything with the device is straightforward. It’s very easy to delete apps. We’ll show you how!
Start by navigating to your home screen - the one with all the apps on it.
Use your remote to select the app you want to delete.
Click and hold the remote’s “select” button (it’s the one you press to normally open an app).
When you hold the button, you’ll see a menu appear for that app. It has three options: Edit Home Screen, Move to…, and Delete App. Select and click “Delete App.”
When you do this, you’ll encounter a confirmation screen. You have the option to delete the app entirely, simply offload the app to free up storage but keep the data, or cancel out of the process.
If you’re sure you’re ready to break up with the app, just click “Delete” and the app will vanish from your home screen.
What If You Delete an App By Accident?
If you mistakenly delete an app you wanted to keep, it’s not a problem to bring it back from the dead. Just go to the App Store and download it again.
You will need to re-enter any login credentials to use the app again, but once you do so, everything will be back to normal.

Limited Warranty
Your Apple TV probably isn’t covered against mishaps and malfunctions. We’ve partnered with 5Devices to give The Streamable readers a protection plan for any internet-connected device, including your Apple TV, iPhone, etc starting at $2.67 per device per month. And the good news is that it covers devices you already use (ie. no need for proof of new purchase).
