61st Street will debut on a new channel when its second season premieres on Monday, July 22.

Franklin Roberts is on the case once again in Season 2 of “61st Street,” the legal drama that will bring new episodes to The CW on Monday, July 22 at 9 p.m. ET. The show stars Courtney B. Vance as Roberts, an attorney in Chicago’s notorious criminal justice system who only wants to help his community and his city. Viewers used to find “61st Street” on AMC, but it moved to a new home for Season 2, and you can stream the premiere with a five-day free trial of DIRECTV STREAM.

In Season 1 of “61st Street” Franklin Roberts knew which side was right. He represented a young Black man mistaken for a gang member by a police force hell-bent on avenging the death of a fellow officer in a drug bust gone wrong. The case was incredibly difficult, but Roberts never once doubted that he was on the right side of the law, and of justice.

Season 2 will see Roberts equally convinced of his path, even if his community is not. He agrees to take the case of Officer Logan, a policeman who kills an innocent man. His goal is to expose and root out the deeper corruption lurking at the heart of Logan’s department, but observers, even his friends and family, quickly turn on Roberts for what they see as a betrayal.
