About ‘House of the Dragon’ Season 2
The first season of “House of the Dragon” introduced viewers to Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, whose father King Viserys intended to name as the first ruling queen in the history of Westeros following his death. But the old king sires a son later in life, and his wife Alicent Hightower thinks the new prince has the best claim to the throne, and her ambitions override her friendship with Rhaenyra while she advances young Aegon as the next ruler of Westeros.
In Season 2, every noble house in the Seven Kingdoms will be forced to choose a side. From Winterfell to Dorne the possibility of war looks likelier every day, and the conflict will not be resolved without fire and blood. Will Rhaenyra and the Blacks be victorious, or will Aegon’s Greens rule the day? Will the Seven Kingdoms be united, or will they burn in dragonfire as the two Targaryen branches fight for supremacy?
