Renowned chef René Redzepi travels around the world investigasting how different cultures use eight core ingredients on "Omnivore."

Travel the globe to celebrate each one of these classic ingredients on “Omnivore”; all eight episodes of the season will arrive on Apple TV+ on Friday, July 19. From cultivation to table, René Redzepi’s series examines each one from the agricultural systems that produce them to the societies and beliefs that they have created.

Created by and narrated by Redzepi, chef and co-owner of world-renowned three-Michelin star restaurant Noma in Copenhagen, “Omnivore” takes viewers on an immersive journey around the world through the lens of food and the ingredients that connect us all.

The series, through each of its eight episodes, will celebrate “the cultivation, transformation, and consumption” of eight essential culinary ingredients: banana, chile, coffee, corn, pork, rice, salt, and tuna. Redzepi and Emmy Award-winning executive producer Matt Goulding (“Anthony Bourdain: Explore Parts Unknown”) will travel to Bali, Colombia, Denmark, Djibouti, France, the United States, and more, speaking with offer other individuals and experts to provide viewers with a nuanced and insightful exploration of global culinary traditions while also highlighting local efforts to honor, conserve and protect the Earth and everything that it provides.

“Omnivore” will be available exclusively on Apple TV+, so you will need to sign up for a subscription with the streamer to be able to watch the new docuseries.
