About ‘Hold Your Breath’
Living in Oklahoma in the 1930s was no easy undertaking for the families that survived the Dust Bowl. The Bellum family isn’t trying to do anything other than eke out a meager existence; mother Margaret (Sarah Paulson) is continually confronted by dying crops, rising costs of living, and a drought that has gripped the entire western United States relentlessly.
Despite that, Margaret makes the best of things for her two girls. But as the dust storms continue to pummel her home, Margaret becomes convinced that a malevolent force is hiding within. She’s willing to do anything she must to protect them, but as her sanity begins to slip away she questions whether she’s fighting demons outside, or demons within.
