After a wild ride that started with a host of candidates, Sunday’s Democratic debate will see former Vice President Joe Biden and Sen. Bernie Sanders of Vermont go head to head. The event is sure to be intense as the two have been clawing to get the most delegates in order to be selected as the primary candidate.

The debate will be the first since Joe Biden took the lead on delegates on Super Tuesday and then again on March 10 as he won in Idaho, Michigan, Mississippi and Missouri. Biden will be hoping to keep the momentum going as Arizona goes to the polls on March 17, along with Florida, Illinois and Ohio, CNET noted.
The debate is hosted by CNN and Univision along with CHC Bold — the political action committee of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus. Dana Bash and Jake Tapper of CNN and Jorge Ramos of Univision will serve as moderators.
Sunday’s debate was originally scheduled for Arizona, but was moved to Washington, D.C., because of coronavirus concerns. The debate will also take place without an audience, press filing center and a spin room.
“Out of an abundance of caution and in order to reduce cross-country travel, all parties have decided that the best path forward is to hold Sunday’s debate at CNN’s studio in Washington, D.C., with no live audience,” DNC communications director Xochitl Hinojosa stated.
