What’s Coming on HBO Now in April 2020, Including ‘Bad Education’ and ‘Run’

Fern Siegel

HBO Now is the streaming answer to HBO: All the network’s shows without a cable subscription.

April brings an array of Hollywood movies, HBO Originals and Latinx shorts. “Bad Education” stars Hugh Jackman and Oscar winner Allison Janney in a true story about an embezzlement scandal involving a Long Island school district. Mark Ruffalo headlines the family drama “I Know This Much Is True,” while the premiere of “We’re Here” showcases drag queens.

Also, Domhnall Gleeson and Emmy winner Merritt Wever star in the comedy thriller “Run.” The former lovers enact a pact sealed 17 years earlier.

Ending in April: The six-part series “The Plot Against America,” which features a fascist-loving Charles Lindbergh. Proving truth can be stranger than fiction, the famed pilot was a Nazi sympathizer in real life. On the comedy front, “Rush Hour 2” and “Mr. Bean’s Holiday” exit, as well.
