Amazon Prime Video has released the season two trailer for “The Boys,’ which includes Aya Cash as Stormfront, the newest Seven member. And it is loaded with shifting group dynamics.
The first three episodes of the eight-episode season debuts September 4. Future episodes will be available each Friday, with the finale slated for October 9.
The series is streamed in more than 200 territories worldwide.
Per Amazon: “The even more intense, more insane Season 2 finds The Boys on the run from the law, hunted by the Supes, and desperately trying to regroup and fight back against Vought. In hiding, Hughie (Jack Quaid), Mother’s Milk (Laz Alonso), Frenchie (Tomer Capon) and Kimiko (Karen Fukuhara) try to adjust to a new normal, with Butcher (Karl Urban) nowhere to be found.”
An added twist for Homelander (Antony Starr) — his power is challenged by Stormfront, a new Supe — and he isn’t pleased.
At a virtual event in June, “Boys” creator-executive producer Eric Kripke (“Supernatural,” “Revolution”) promised the upcoming season would be “crazier, stranger, more intense, more emotional.”
The show is based on the comic-book series written by Garth Ennis and co-created-illustrated by Darick Robertson.
The series is produced by Amazon Studios and Sony Pictures Television Studios with Point Grey Pictures, Kripke Enterprises and Original Film.
