Scream Movies Online Streaming Guide

Do you like scary movies? Be careful who you tell, because they just might be watching you through the window! Penned by screenwriter Kevin Williamson, the first “Scream” added a meta layer to slasher films - highlighting and exploiting popular tropes in the genre while still keeping audiences at the edge of their seat!

This collection of Wes Craven films almost completely re-wrote the slasher genre and brought it back into mainstream cinema. Every film in the franchise features a large cast of beautiful young actors who would go on to bigger and better things.

  • Scream

    December 20, 1996

A killer known as “Ghostface” begins killing off teenagers and the body count is rising. Sidney Prescott (Neve Campbell) and her friends Gale (Courteney Cox) and Dewey (David Arquette) have made a discovery: Horror movies always follow a template. As they dissect the ‘rules’ of horror films, they find themselves entrenched in one that’s all too real. Drew Barrymore, Skeet Ulrich, Rose McGowan, Matthew Lillard, Jamie Kennedy, and Liev Schreiber round out this cast of 90s teen idols.

  • Scream 2

    December 9, 1997

Two years after the terrifying events that occurred in Woodsboro, Sidney is now attending Windsor College in Cincinnati. Gale Weathers’ best-selling book on Sidney’s life has now been made into a major motion picture, ‘Stab.’ When two college students are killed in a theatre while watching the movie, Sidney knows deep down that history is repeating itself. Wes Craven returns as the film’s director, as do the surviving cast members from the original film. The cast includes Jada Pinkett Smith, Omar Epps, Heather Graham, Joshua Jackson, Sarah Michelle Gellar, Timothy Olyphant, Jerry O’Connell, Laurie Metcalf, and even Tori Spelling as herself.

  • Scream 3

    February 3, 2000

A new murder spree has begun. This time, it’s targeting the original Woodsboro survivors along with anyone associated with ‘Stab’. Sydney must face the demons of her past to stop the killer. The cast includes Patrick Dempsey, Lance Henriksen, Jenny McCarthy, Emily Mortimer, Parker Posey, Patrick Warburton, Kevin Smith, Heather Matarazzo, and Carrie Fisher.

  • Scream 4

    April 11, 2011

Set years after the events of the original trilogy, Sidney Prescott is now the author of a self-help book. Returning home to Woodsboro for the last stop of her book tour, she reconnects with newlyweds Dewey and Gale, as well as her cousin Jill and her Aunt Kate. Unfortunately, Sidney’s appearance also brings about the return of Ghostface, putting Sidney and the whole town of Woodsboro in danger. The cast includes Anna Paquin, Kristen Bell, Alison Brie, Hayden Panettiere, Rory Culkin, and Mary McDonnell.

  • Scream

    January 12, 2022

The first in the Scream franchise not to be directed by Wes Craven, Scream 5 will instead be directed by Matt Bettinelli-Olpin and Tyler Gillett. Scream 5 is a direct sequel to Scream 4, and will see Campbell, Cox, Arquette, and Marley Shelton reprise their roles. Filming took place in Wilmington, North Carolina, from September to November 2020, and the movie is slated for a 2022 release.
