TiVo released their latest “Online Video and Pay-TV Trends Report” this week and it had some interesting results.
According to the report, these are the channels people are most willing to pay for:
The cheapest way to get these channels is through DIRECTV NOW which offers them for $78/mo. when calculated by our Matchmaker tool.
When users were asked for the channels they watch the most, only HBO from the list above made the cut.
DIRECTV NOW is the only service that comes close to offering this bundle at $40/month. Newcomer Philo includes 5 of these channels for $16/month when calculated by our Matchmaker tool.
Users surveyed for the report had a willingness to pay of $1.50 per channel compared of 24 channels in their ideal channel lineup. This lines up ~$35-40 that cord-shaving services like DIRECTV NOW, fuboTV, Hulu Live TV, Sling TV, PlayStation Vue, and YouTube TV charge.
