NBA League Pass Bringing Multiview to More Devices This Year
Viewers can stream up to four games at once using NBA League Pass’s multiview.
The 2024-25 NBA season is just over a week away! The season starts on Tuesday, Oct. 22, and as always the best way to watch every out-of-market game is with a subscription to NBA League Pass. For just $17 per month, fans can watch all games from every team not in their local TV market that aren’t slated to appear on national channels like ESPN or TNT. New for the 2024-25 season, League Pass is trotting out some big upgrades to its multiview, as well as original content for fans to binge between games.
Key Details:
- The NBA League Pass multiview allows subscribers to watch up to four games at once.
- Previously, only YouTube TV customers with NBA League Pass could watch games via multiview.
- League Pass is also offering new documentaries on the rise of Victor Wembanyama and the Boston Celtics’ championship run.
Select NBA League Pass customers had access to a multiview option already, but now it is expanding to more viewers. YouTube TV first introduced the ability to watch up to four games at once with multiview in March 2023, and brought it back ahead of last year’s regular season start.
Now, NBA League Pass’s multiview is available to customers outside of YouTube TV for the first time. It will be available for use on smart TVs and streaming devices, mobile devices, and tablets. Best yet, the feature will allow viewers to fully customize which games they see, as long as those games are available on League Pass in their area.
In addition to the expansion of NBA League Pass multiview, audiences will be able to rewind and watch from any point in the game, download full games for offline viewing, and access an assortment of recaps and highlights with their subscription.
There’s also new, original content coming to NBA League Pass in 2024. “Pass the Rock: Rookie Year Edition” debuts on the service on Tuesday, Oct. 15, focusing on the explosive rookie season from San Antonio Spurs center Victor Wembanyama. There’s also a new docuseries highlighting the journey of the Boston Celtics to NBA champions dubbed “Raising 18” and narrated by Celtics veteran Al Horford.
NBA League Pass carries more than 800 out-of-market NBA regular season games every year, complete with alt-cast options, in-language streams, “NBA Hooper Vision” and much more. Now, fans will be able to use multiview to watch up to four games at once with the service and enjoy new documentary options designed to make League Pass a more immersive experience. League Pass plans start at $17 per month to stream all out-of-market, non-national games, or $160 per season.
