AMC Networks Debuts 2 New Streamers for Comcast’s Xfinity TV and Xfinity Flex Subscribers

AMC Network has launched two SVODs: AMC+ and WE tv+. Both are initially offered to Comcast’s Xfinity TV and Xfinity Flex subscribers.
AMC+ will carry original shows from AMC, Sundance TV and IFC, as well as streamers Shudder, Sundance Now and IFC Films. Shows include “Killing Eve,” “The Walking Dead” and ‘NOS4A2.” AMC Premiere, launched in 2017, is being replaced by AMC+
AMC+ also includes a commercial-free premium linear network available on Xfinity’s electronic program guide.
WE tv+ streams shows from reality network WE tv, such as “Braxton Family Values” and “Growing Up Hip Hop,” and the UMC (Urban Movie Channel). UMC houses movies and TV shows created for an African American audience.
Both streamers run $4.99/month.
Xfinity customers can access the new streamers on the internet and on demand via Xfinity TV platforms. Xfinity Flex is a streaming device included with Xfinity Internet that extends X1 to Xfinity Internet customers.
Xfinity will continue to offer AMC Networks’ subscription service Acorn TV, which streams British and global TV shows.
Josh Reader, president of distribution and development for AMC Networks, stated: “Comcast has always been a valued partner, particularly in the launch of AMC Premiere, a pioneering ad-free service. With these AMC+ and WE tv+ bundles, we build on that partnership in service of our fans on both the innovative Xfinity X1 and Flex platforms.”
