BREAKING NEWS: fuboTV Adds Viacom Channels Including Comedy Central, MTV, VH1, and Nickelodeon

fuboTV and Viacom have reached an agreement to bring 20 networks to their base fubo and fubo Extra plans.

As part of the deal, BET, CMT, Comedy Central, MTV, Nickelodeon, Nick Jr., Paramount Network, TV Land and VH1 will be added to the base Fubo plan ($45). The Fubo Extra tier ($50) will carry other Viacom-owned networks like BET Her, BET Jams, BET Soul, Logo, MTV2, MTV Classic, MTV Live, mtvU, Nick Music, Nicktoons, and TeenNick. This partnership also will bring Viacom’s Telefe and MTV Tr3s networks to fuboTV’s Spanish-language base package, fubo Latino.

Tom Gorke, EVP Distribution at Viacom:

“fuboTV is quickly evolving as a major force in the streaming television space, and the addition of Viacom’s media networks as a cornerstone of fuboTV’s entertainment offering demonstrates the power and popularity of our global brands and programming. This is a great opportunity to continue to grow our reach and audiences across the OTT landscape and connect with our fans wherever they consume content.”

fuboTV now joins Philo, Sling TV, and AT&T TV NOW as the only Live TV Streaming Services with Viacom channels. The networks used to be carried by PlayStation Vue, but were removed due to rising costs in November 2016.

This is the second major move by Viacom in the streaming space in the last few weeks. At the beginning of February, they acquired ad-supported streaming service Pluto TV for $340 million.
