Fox Soul Debuts, New Streamer Focuses on African American Viewers

Fox Television Stations is debuting an ad-supported streaming channel, Fox Soul, targeting African American viewers. Fox Corp says the streamer will celebrate black culture; it address topics as diverse as entertainment and health.

Original programs and existing local shows will air weeknights 9 p.m. to 1 a.m. ET.

Tammi Mac, host of “The Tammi Mac Late Show,” said: “I could not have asked for a better platform to speak greatness about and into my community.”

Fox Soul encourages audience participation, inviting viewers to call individual shows directly and interact with hosts, via its streaming app and social media. The new streamer is available on apps for iPhone, Android, Apple TV, FireTV and

James DuBose, head of programming for Fox Soul, added: “We intend to inform, inspire, and empower our viewers by meeting their needs for authentic conversations on topics relevant to our lives.”

The following original programs will stream on Fox Soul:

  • “The Tammi Mac Late Show”

  • “Fit and Fab With Elise Neal”

  • “On the 7 With Dr. Sean”

  • “The Mike and Donny Show”

  • “Out Loud with Claudia Jordan”

  • “One on One with Keyshia Cole”

Unlike its TV competitors, which are spending serious money to launch upcoming streamers, such as NBCU’s Peacock, Fox TV focuses on live broadcasting, especially sports and reality TV. This season, the network scored well with “The Masked Singer.”
