The latest action-packed installment of the “Godzilla” and “King Kong” franchises is directed by Adam Wingard and follows Kong’s journey to find his family through an undiscovered layer of Hollow Earth, inadvertently uncovering the most dangerous threat to mankind that can only be counted (and possibly defeated) by the combined forces of Kong and the much-evolved Godzilla.

The cast of “Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire” is led by Rebecca Hall, Brian Tyree Henry, Dan Stevens, Kaylee Hottle, Alex Ferns, and Fala Chen, among others. The film, which premiered in theaters on March 29, has so far grossed $570 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing film in the Monsterverse and the Godzilla/Kong franchises.

“Slow Horses” Season 4 Gets Premiere Date and First Look

The highly anticipated fourth season of Apple TV+’s BAFTA-winning “Slow Horses” is picking up speed.

The streamer has announced the premiere date and released a first look at Season 4 of the espionage thriller series starring Gary Oldman. The new season, which will be adapted from “Spook Street,” the fourth novel in the Mick Herron spy series “Slough House” the TV series is based on, is set to premiere globally on Wednesday, Sept. 4.

Gary Oldman stars in “Slow Horses,” returning for season four on Wednesday, September 4, 2024 on Apple TV+.

Created by Will Smith (“Veep,” “The Thick of It”), “Slow Horses” follows a dysfunctional team of British intelligence agents who have wrecked their careers with major mistakes and who serve in an M15 dumping ground department not-so-affectionately known as Slough House under their brilliant, misanthropic leader (Oldman). According to the official synopsis, the fourth series will open “with a bombing that detonates personal secrets, rocking Slough House’s already unstable foundations.”

In addition to Oldman, the returning cast includes Kristin Scott Thomas, Jack Lowden, Saskia Reeves, Rosalind Eleazar, Christopher Chung, Aimee-Ffion Edwards, Kadiff Kirwan, and Jonathan Pryce. Hugo Weaving, Joanna Scanlan, Ruth Bradley, Tom Brooke, and James Callis will join the new season.

The first two episodes of “Slow Horses” Season 4 will premiere on Apple TV+ on Sept. 4, followed by one new episode weekly through Oct. 2

Disney+ Releases Trailer for Upcoming “Bluey” Minisodes

The internationally beloved animated children’s series “Bluey” may technically be in-between seasons, but fans of all ages will still be getting their fix of their favorite pup.

Disney+ has released the trailer for the first batch of seven “Bluey” minisodes, which will drop on the streamer on Sunday, July 7. Written by series creator Joe Brumm, the new collection will highlight funny and sweet moments featuring Bluey and Bingo, showing playful interactions and games that further explore the characters and world of “Bluey.”

Watch the trailer for the upcoming “Bluey” minisodes below:

The first batch of one-to-three-minute shorts includes:

  • “Burger Dog” - The kids want to dance to some annoying music but Dad pretends his battery on his phone is flat until Mum phones him.
  • “Bingo 3000” - Dad has bought a brand new “Bingo 3000” robot, but it’s not working, so he has to call technical support.
  • “Muffin Unboxing” - Stripe is filming Muffin unboxing a dump truck toy, but Muffin is struggling to stay focused.
  • “Letter” - Nana reads an old story that Bandit wrote from when he was five. The kids find this hilarious as Nana is reading out the words exactly as they are spelled.
  • “Hungry” - Dad is hungry so he pretends to eat Bluey.
  • “Three Pigs” - Dad retells the story of the three little pigs. In this version, the pigs and the wolf eventually become friends.
  • “Animals” - Mum is playing the animal game on Bingo’s back. She pretends Bingo’s back is a big field, and various animals walk, jump, and dart across it, making Bingo laugh.

The second batch of shorts is expected to be released later this year, followed by a final batch in 2025.
