About 2024 Formula 1 Chinese Grand Prix

The 2024 Chinese Grand Prix is the fifth race of the largest championship season ever, now with a 24-race schedule. The Chinese Grand Prix takes place at the Shanghai International Circuit – a unique track built to look like the Chinese symbol for ‘shang’ (upwards) from the sky. Drivers must navigate 56 laps of the 5.451km circuit, which features one of the longest straightaways in F1 – a 1.2km stretch squeezed between Turns 13 and 14. Things get off to a quick start with tightening turns in 1 and 2 while drivers like Turns 7 and 8 specifically for the super-high g force they experience. When it comes to F1 standings, Max Verstappen (77 points) still sits atop the board despite the set-up back in Australia, with Sergio Perez (64 points) in second, and Charles Leclerc (59 points) in third.
