With the Illinois High School girls’ basketball teams playing last weekend, it’s the boys’ turn as they go head-to-head for the state championship. All games will be played at the State Farm Center – a 15,000-seat indoor arena operated by the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. So far, the 1A and 2A championship games are set, with Mounds (Meridian) taking on West Central (Coop), and Chicago (Phillips) facing Benton.
