The 2024 IndyCar Thermal $1 Million Challenge takes place from March 22 to March 24 at The Thermal Club near Palm Springs, where drivers will race 20 laps around the 3.067-mile track, featuring 19 turns, for a total distance of 61.34 miles. This track has it all: sweepers, lengthy straightaways, tight corners, and elevation changes all contribute to a demanding trajectory that will challenge every driving team.

But the juice is worth the squeeze because as the name suggests, there is some serious money on the line this weekend. Other than the Indianapolis 500, the $1.756 million at stake is the largest purse for an IndyCar series race this season. You can catch all the racing action from the picturesque base of the Santa Rosa Mountains on Peacock and NBC.
