The first major of the LPGA season gets underway on Thursday, April 18 in The Woodlands, Texas as the best women’s golfers in the world tee it up at the 2024 Chevron Championship. The top-ranked player in the world Nelly Korda will be looking for her fifth-straight LPGA win, but on the first two days of the event, she will be in a group with the world’s No. 2 player and Chevron defending champion Lilia Vu. About 2024 LPGA Major Chevron Championship

For the second year in a row, the 2024 Chevron Championship will be played this weekend at The Club at Carlton Woods in The Woodlands, Texas after having previously been played in California. The No. 1 player in the world Nelly Korda has won her last four starts. If she claims the first major of the season, she would join golf legends Nancy Lopez (1978) and Annika Sorenstam (2004-2005) as the only players to win five consecutive tournaments.

However, Korda is not the only person chasing history as 2016 Chevron Champion Lydia Ko needs just a single point to qualify for the LPGA Hall of Fame. Also, defending tournament champion and reigning LPGA Player of the Year Lilia Vu is seeking back-to-back Chevron titles.
