No. 1 Boston University will face off against No. 3 Denver and No. 1 Boston College will play unseeded Michigan in the 2024 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four on Thursday, April 11. the Terriers and Pioneers will get the action started on ESPN2 at 5 p.m. ET while the Eagles and Wolverines will serve as the nightcap, as the puck will drop on their game at approximately 8:30 p.m. ET. The 2024 NCAA Men’s Frozen Four will have a very distinctive Boston tinge to it as both the No. 1 Boston University Terriers and No. 1 Boston College Eagles have advanced to the national semifinals. The Terriers have, on paper, the tougher draw as they will face No. 3 seed Denver in the Frozen Four opening game, while their Bean Pot rivals will square off against the unseeded Michigan Wolverines.

However, these four programs are arguably the most decorated in all of college hockey. Denver and Michigan are tied for the most titles in men’s college hockey history with nine, while BC and BU are tied with five. Denver last won the championship in 2022, while Michigan did so over a quarter century ago in 1998. Boston College last won in 2012 and Boston U in 2009.

In terms of Frozen Four appearances, Michigan (28), BC (26), and BU (24) lead all programs with Denver at 18. This year’s Frozen Four is just about as blueblood as men’s hockey can be, so you won’t want to miss any of the action on ESPN2 this weekend.
