“A Gentleman in Moscow” is the new adaptation of Amor Towles’ bestselling novel. It features Ewan McGregor as Count Alexander Rostov, a former noble whose status as a wealthy man does not leave him in good standing when the Russian Revolution overtakes him. There’s not much room for royalty in a worker’s paradise, as Rostov quickly finds out.

Instead of being executed by the new Soviet government, Rostov is allowed to live in seclusion within the walls of a luxurious but now nearly abandoned hotel. The years pass around Rostov, who observes some of the most consequential moments in world history from his window. As he builds a new life within the walls of the hotel, he discovers the true value of friendship, family and love.
