About 'A History of the World in Six Glasses' Premiere

For the whole of human history, drinking has been at the center of our cultural and communal experience. In Fox Nation new comedy docuseries “A History of the World in Six Glasses,” stars from “Saturday Night Live” and “Cheers” come together to discover and discuss six of the most meaningful beverages in the world… and to partake in a few glasses of each.

The quintet of comedians will sample a selection of beers, wines, spirits, coffees, teas, and sodas while learning how each drink was initially created and eventually claimed its place of prominence in societies around the world. And, of course, when you get five of most legendary comics in the world together around a bar, anything is liable to happen.

“A History of the World in Six Glasses” is written and directed by Rob Long, who worked alongside Wendt when he was an executive producer on “Cheers.” Long received both Emmy and Golden Globe nominations for his work on the record-breaking comedy.
