For nearly two months, the Hallmark Channel’s Countdown to Christmas has been dazzling viewers with new movies three days a week, and now, the cable channel’s streaming sibling Hallmark Movies Now is getting in on the holiday celebration. On Thursday, Dec. 14, “An Ice Palace Romance” debuts on the streamer starring Celeste Desjardins and Marcus Rosner and is the second Hallmark Movies Now exclusive of the season, following last week’s “Rescuing Christmas.” You can watch An Ice Palace Romance with a 30-Day Free Trial of Amazon Prime Video. About Hallmark Streaming Exclusive Holiday Movie ‘An Ice Palace Romance’

“An Ice Palace Romance” follows the tried-and-true Hallmark formula of a woman from the big city returning home around the holidays and coming into contact with a handsome single father. In this take on the trope, Desjardins plays Lori, a journalist on assignment in her hometown to write about the beloved community ice rink. There she meets the rink’s owner Mark (played by Rosner) and his young daughter. Through the course of the holidays and researching the story, Lori begins to reevaluate what she really wants from her life.

Also in the cast are Joey Coleman, Julia Dyan, Kiril Mitev, and more. Countdown to Christmas runs through the end of the year, but the original films wrap up this weekend. In addition to “An Ice Palace Romance” on Hallmark Movies Now, the flagship channel will have “The Secret Gift of Christmas” on Friday, “Sealed with a List” on Saturday, and “Friends & Family Christmas” on Sunday.

[Hallmark Movies & Mysteries] still has two more original films on its 2023 Miracles of Christmas slate with “Heaven Down Here” premiering on Thursday, Dec. 14 and “Miracle in Bethlehem, PA” wrapping up the season on Thursday, Dec. 21.
