About 'Anatomy of a Fall'
In “Anatomy of a Fall,” Sandra is accused of her husband Samuel’s murder after he falls out of an open window in their attic. While she claims that he had been suicidal in recent months, evidence begins to mount that points to her involvement in his death. The only witness is the couple’s visually impaired son Daniel.
The film, co-written by Justine Triet and Arthur Harari, follows the case into the courtroom providing a gripping look at the intricacies of a murder trial when there are no easy answers. Both Sandra and Daniel take the stand, but that doesn’t necessarily lead to any concrete answers.
The film stars Sandra Hüller as novelist Sandra who is trying to prove her innocence in her husband’s death; Samuel Theis plays her husband. Milo Machado-Graner plays their son Daniel, the only witness to what happened to his father. Also in the film are Swann Arlaud, Antoine Reinartz, Jehnny Beth, Saadia Bentaieb, Camille Rutherford, Anne Rotger, and Sophie Fillières.
