About 'Barbie'
Since debuting in theaters on July 20, 2023, “Barbie” has been the center of nearly every cultural conversation. Starring Margot Robbie, Ryan Gosling, America Ferrera, Kate McKinnon, Will Ferrell, Issa Rae, Rhea Perlman, Michael Cera, and many others, “Barbie” follows the titular doll and her plastic boyfriend Ken as they leave their idyllic lives in Barbie Land in search of something more meaningful. As they leave the colorful and seemingly perfect world that they know, they soon realize that everything they thought they knew about the real world was wrong. However, they also discover both the joys and perils of living among real-life people.
In addition to the version of the movie seen in theaters, Max has also released a version featuring American Sign Language performer Leila Hanaumi. She provides an ASL interpretation of the entire film. The two versions of “Barbie” are separate titles in the Max library. You can select the ASL version by clicking on the movie tile that includes the ASL symbol on it key art.
